I seriouslyyyyy am beginning to have doubts about my intellectual state of mind.
From today onward, I resolve to:
1. Be updated on current affairs and read the news daily (Not just Yahoo!)
2. Do all projects ahead of time. Not to mention assignments.
3. Actually understand what projects and assignments actually mean.
CMM is so...friggin annoyingly hard to comprehend properly. I hate to admit it.
Hung out with Jean and Toh after school btw. We cleverly took 69 from opposite school, ended up at Bedok interchange, and paid more money to go all the way back to Tampines.
Smart or not! And I paid in coins. The bus aunty told me to pay $1 when I boarded. AND SHE WANTED ME TO PAY $1.40 FOR THE TRIP BACK!!!
$2.40 for a bus ride that was probably only $0.70 if I took it from the right direction k. -.-
These dayssssss, I'm too tired/lazy/doing more productive things than blogging. But I will be back on track soon.
Till then!
Week 2!
Tuesday, April 28, 2009 @ 12:14 AM
Start of week 2! Reckon today wasn't bad, but we waited SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long for drama auditions (we finished class at 3.10PM!!) at 6PM and we left close to 8PM cos we were worried it was going to take forever just to get to our turn. We will get rescheduled!
Now I'm starting rethink the whole CCA thing, but I guess it's still wise to join one, after all, I really depended on CCA to get into CMM. I need to give it all the credit it can possibly get man!
Went to Mensa canteen with a bunch of classmates for lunch then we went to the bookshop to get our art stuff.
Bought colour pencils. I have no idea how many boxes of them I have bought before and eventually lost ok. What a waste of money. HAHA.
I reallyyyyyy wanted to get the 24 colours, but I probably won't need that many right! Basic colours shall do.Mich, Jean and I spent almost all our time in the library and then Hui Xuan came along so it was just plain talking nonsense throughout our 2 hours there. Then Mich went for band practice (She's like a shoo-in, I tell you) and we headed for dramaaaaaaa.
The Voon sisters joined drama too ok! And they stayed to audition even after we left. But then again, I know drama is gonna be competitive too. Still, what won't be!
Your restless friend.Left & went to eat at Macs. Damn, I swear ah, if we are going to go home everyday at this absurd hour I am going to cry! Cos I am not the kind of person who can just go home after a long day and go to bed. I need to like...have fun first!
Which basically means, whether I get home at 3PM or 10PM, I will still watch TV/use the computer for manymanymany hours/chat on the phone...you get the drift.
And I just found out that Old Tampines Road is not anywhere near school but along the road that 72 passes everyday!
THAT'S SO BLOODY FAR! What if we don't get a substantial story?
Ok, pray I won't be late tomorrow. Lecture at 9AM!
Night!
P/S: Jean, don't be late tomorrow!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GERALDINE ONG!
Ok So:
Sunday, April 26, 2009 @ 9:51 PM
Things I should have blogged about earlier but had no time/was too lazy to, so let's see...
On the night before school orientation started, I met up with the usuals to have Pizza Hut for dinner (Went to walk around Plaza with Toh and Taufiq before that). Hahah, I like how we are gonna be busy for sure in the next couple of years but the vibe that we are gonna be good friends still remains.
And the next day was first day of orientation at TP. I met Toh first (arrived damn early like some kiasu idiot, before the sun was even up) and we ate breakfast while waiting for Hui Xuan and Germaine.
Unfortunately, my memory card was screwed until Toh's self proclaimed magic hands touched it so this was only this picture remained in my camera until we went into the convention centre and split into classes.
First day of orientation was so-so, but no one
really makes friends on the first day, so...yeah.
First week of school is over, and it's gonna be week 2 now.
OK, better week ahead, hopefully.
There's drama auditions tomorrow too!
Annnnnnd!
Happy Birthday, Rebecca Yap!I already said all I wanted to to you, so shall just leave your name here! Hahahah.
Also, I haven't posted up the sentosa pictures Veena took for her art. I know I make a bad model, but I'll still post them on Facebook soon enough!
.jpg)
I have a lot of other pictures to post but Blogger doesn't allow me to upload them quickly, so will blog again soonish.
Out!
You Know You're My Saving Grace
Friday, April 24, 2009 @ 1:06 AM
I guess no matter how free you are on the first week of school (No tutorials on every day of the first week of poly except tomorrow!), you still know that you are now in the 'school zone' and you won't blog as much till you've settled in.
So tomorrow is Friday, marks my first ever full day (10AM to 6PM, damn!) and also the end of my first week at poly, though yeah yeah we are only required to attend 3 out of the 5 days this week.
How has it been?
My class is generally awesome, but I guess everyone's still getting used to each other. To be improved, to be improved.
One whole year ok, things will get better for sure.
And yes, we have textbooks (Shit!) and they are thick. Not to mention, expensive. I am beginning to feel this horrible sense of guilt toward my parents already Hahah!
They are getting me a laptop too.
This baby!

Has been ordered, so will be awaiting its delivery. You know I don't look at the specs of a lappie (That much) as long as it is pretty and functional right. Hahahah.
Anyway, it'll be a lot more convenient to view lecture and tutorial notes online instead of printing out a chunk of 'em.
And though this has been mentioned a gazillion and one times, to all current warped Sec 4s: Poly really isn't lousier than JC. It really isn't. Siao, teachers so strict! If you study hard you can go anywhere. I really think it boils down to the kind of study environment you want, and the type of studying style that suits you.
Ok, I know my posts are getting boring. Will be interesting soon!
Also,
Happy 21st Monthsary Mr. Chin. How is it we did not realise it at all when we hung out together during all that time? But yea, I still believe that this doesn't really matter. What does is that we spend each day together, happy.
You know what 21 months mean anyway, we are close to 24 months = 2 years. How long is that! haha. Thank you so much for putting up with my nonsensical whining, bad hair days and random outbursts all this while. :)
Love you long time!
P/S: Every time I eat Pizza Hut outside for dinner I will come home and find a box of pizza on the dining table. Why so coincidental! Then I wouldn't have needed to waste money on it in the first place grr.
I Know You Know
Tuesday, April 21, 2009 @ 10:51 PM
My siblings officially play the worst songs in history. How can anyone listen to such nonsensical junk?
Okay, so music is subjective just like art, right? I shall...try to comprimise and let my ears bear with the painful sounds.
Anyway, had 3 lectures today (only!), they were from 9AM to 2PM today, with an hour break somewhere in between. Journalism, Essential Graphics and Graphic Design Fundamentals.
Kinda screwed in the mind about the whole online thing though, but
No worries, because everything works themselves out eventually.
Also, I met my classmate who wasn't at orientation today - Jeanette! And she takes 23to Tampines Mall with me and also seems like a load of fun, so I'm very happy! Hahah.
Definitely hope the whole social-gettig-to-know-all-your-classmates-and-coursemates thing picks up quickly.
After school, headed to Dhoby Ghaut to meet Taufiq after meeting KT at Eunos. We lunched at Burger King and then went over to The Cathay for B&J's Free Cone Day!
The queue was pretty longggg. Like from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor, all the way to that level's staircase exit.
But I think we waited only about 20 minutes, so it wasn't that bad.
We even videotaped Taufiq doing a live report on the scene, but the videos are a bit screwed so I can't post them. Darn darn darn. So anyhoo, had one of my favourite flavours today, Chocolate Fudge Brownie. No other fancy ones. Disappointed! Hahahah. But FREE ICE CREAM. YUM.
Don't tsk hor, I know you don't buy B&J's everyday like you are very rich ok!
Annnnnnnnnnnnd Blogger won't load the images for me, so Taufiq, I'll be putting them up on Facebook if you are looking for them.
Oh you know, when I was showering just now, I already determinedly decided that these 3 years shall NOT be judgemental for me and I shall always, always, always stay true to myself. I know it sounds so cheesy, cliche and simple but after just a couple of days you can totally feel the __________ vibe. And you know it's gonna happen!
I've got this uneasy feeling buttttttttttt.
Be with happy people, Rachellllllll.
Right, school starts at 4PM tomorrow. Night!
Geaaaaaaaared up!
Monday, April 20, 2009 @ 8:35 PM
Went over to KT's in the A.M all excited hoping to show him my restaurant - but it turns out that somehow, the game won't load on his computer!
Grr, so pissed. I want to quickly upgrade my Chi Chi.
That's the name of my restaurant btw, and don't ask me how I named it that hor. HAHAH.
And if you are a true friend, you'll give (gift) me loads of ingredients so I can learn new dishes to make!
Shit I sound so warped now right.
Anyway, on a site note, no matter how weird I think Zac Efron is, I think he is really good looking. Maybe it's the side swept fringe, the endless blue in his eyes, his dimpled smile? I don't know!
ANDDDDDDDDDDDD TOMORROW IS FREE CONE DAY FOR BEN & JERRY LOVERS
For more information (and for the kiasu people like me!), click here for more info.
Just so you know, my favourite flavours (not in order) are Phish Food, Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.
Flavours I really want to try is Turtle Soup and S'mores. And Dublin Mudslide.Ok Toh, tomorrow if we end early we go to the nearest participating outlet and eat free Phish food ok!
And there are gonna be 3 lectures tomorrow. But all pretty short ones I guess.
I like my classmates, although everyone seems so different, but hopefully tomorrow's gonna be a good day!
Right. Off to shower, now!
:D

Addicted to Restaurant City on Facebook. It's super fun!
Or maybe it isn't super fun. But I'm just really bored at the moment, and everything new looks appealing right!
Wish my com wasn't so lag at the moment though. Makes everything unbearable and hard to navigate around the game.
I think it has something to do with the amount of people playing the game right now.
And money money woo! Lots of money money woo! I need loads of it to make my restaurant prettier.
The things I do on Facebook when I get bored. Hehe.
Went out with Taufiq and Toh on the day before orientation, and before meeting Lai Han for dinner we got bored, so I attempted to draw Taufiq.Am no art student, but looks like him right!!!! Ok, so Taufiq drew the eyebrows himself. Hahaha. I can't draw eyebrows! They end up looking like fake ones.

And some random snapshots at the Istana Park. Not a very alluring place though. Has a shallow and fugly pond that's filthy.
I wish SG had crystal clear ones!

All other peektures on Facebook!Anyway! Look, my new classmates - class of 2009, 1C04.
Our SLs are in front. And the guy in white is our CP (AKA form teacher) Mr. Ethan Guo.
Pictures from classmate Junanne.
With luck, I'll be good friends with them for the semester and have some good times as well. (Scratch that, LOADS of good times.)
New Age Girl - VAMAnd this is our TP Mass Dance song. Hella funkeh, I love!
It's stuck in my head now, but I can't do the running part of the dance. Why? Cos I don't want to die just yet. HAHAH.No tutorial tomorrw = no school! Free day muwahahahah.
Ok, outtttttttt.
/Edit
Been eating a lot (ALOTTTTTTTTTTT) of junk food these few days. I am beginning to feel it. Darn! :/

Saturdays should not suck. Why does it, today!
Finally.
Friday, April 17, 2009 @ 11:10 PM
Orientation's been over, it's been quite...a brisk 2 days.
And yea, I reckon I've got pretty nice classmates. Some of which I haven't spoken to yet - but I'm guessing it'll all be fine as the semester goes on.
I miss Yuying terribly though - especially the people. I miss the juniors too! I never thought I would - and so much. I know this is really evil but I hope that the current batch of 09 Sec 4s get their O's over and done with quickly and join us in a supposed higher level of education.
Why? So that I will have less of a reason to miss my secondary school so much!
Anyway, Toh and I have pretty much been swarmed by awe of how (extremely) intelligent the people in my course are. He told me that he was having an online convo with 4 classmates last night and their L1R4 points were nicely numbered at 7, 8, 9 and 10.
Plus, out of all the people who were with me at the JPSAE interview, I think only 1 or 2 people didn't make it. Everyone else did!
None were in my class though. ):
The good news is, my time table is pretty flexible. I refuse to use the word 'slack' from now on because I have promised to try my hardest to do well. I know that along the way we are going to get distracted (we always do k don't pretend) and might possibly veer off the track but I PROMISE - to stay as consistent as possible. Especially to fit into TP's grading system.
And other good news for the first week is that we don't have tutorials (Like normal class) so I can give school a miss on Monday and some other day which I cannot remember. Class also starts pretty late, earliest at 9AM, and that's only for one day.
If I am not wrong, this time table is gonna last a semester.
I know Cheryl Neo will still think I'm going to slack and am a weirdo. She's horribly horrid lah. Hahahah.
But I just really want to tell you this Jonathan: We've come this far, let's just give it all we've got.
Same goes for you, Hui Xuan!
P/S: I'm too tired to blog more. But whoever still does not know, Toh and I are in TP's Communications and Media Management, which has elements of Mass Communications and Business in it, and most of the studying takes place is TP's Business School.
Orientation Day: Tomorrow!
Wednesday, April 15, 2009 @ 11:58 PM
Tomorrow's business school's orientation at TP. Here is what my boyfriend is saying to me on the phone right now:
"Jiayou!"So boring, seriously. HAHAHA.
Hopefully, I get my timetable tomorrow and I have nice, flexible times. Also, the general stuff: Let's hope I have nice classmates + a good 3 years ahead.
:)
Doodles

Bought my yakpak today. Brown with coloured stripes in pairs. I really wanted the robot one but it just looked funny the second time round.
No new news, just that as usual, been eating loads of junk and fastfood. I swear tomorrow I shall try to remember to attempt to cook something. KT is coming over to record! So maybe we can cook together (?)
Think we'll just burn the kitchen down though.
I had to suppress the urge to shop again today. Like literally walk out of a stall before anything catches my eye and gets me debating on whether or not to buy it. How bad is this?
When I'm left alone I always, always, ALWAYS without fail, want to eat something/buy clothes.
Such a lozer.
And this is random but...I like being...an ultra geek. B)
Spectacular Days
@ 1:56 AM
Blogger has been...such a bitch. So I'm consolidating a few days' worth of blogging into one entry.Long entry ahead. All pictures on Facebook, because Blogger gives me a hard time and I can't post everything. On
Thursday, I went to collect Hui Xuan and my Super Junior Vol. 2 albums and posters from the Korean Spree-er with KT. We bought them in a package deal, so we got album A + B and two posters.
Had quite some time before the collection, so we went to eat LJS...again. Or rather, I went to watch him eat again.
The best thing about LJS is its sinfully yummy cheese and its fries. If it's fat-free I'd eat it everyday :P

I am so used to be the one/seeing girls taking pictures all the time that when guys do it I feel weird! Unless they are bloggers.
And KT is wearing my ultra long cardigan. Like to your ass kinda long.
Hui Xuan took Version A and I took Version B - which she reckons looks a lot like Suju marching off to execution ground.
Version A.

Gave her my poster as well because I wasn't gonna use it - ever. My wall does not have anymore space to adorn the faces of Korean popstars. So don't have to feel guilty, girl! Do justice to the handsome faces! Hahahah.
Turf City after that again. Got bribed by my mum to go there with KT to have dinner -but we ended up helping her pack stuff for ages and ate at 9plus at night! So sneaky.
Hungry & wanting fooooood!FridayDay's purpose: To celebrate Freddy's birthday & attend Evoke Your Dreams at LSBC.
Met Toh & KT at Tampines Mall later than the others who met Freddy at Seoul Garden for a buffet lunch since we decided that we were all broke and could do without eating so much. So, we actually planned to get a surprise cake for Daniel and Freddy - a small one, since we thought they were gonna be stuffed after stuffing themselves at buffet!
We visited Tampines' new mall, Tampines 1, while waiting.
WTH WHY IS UNIQLO SO BLOODY CROWDED!Ok so it's a new brand in Singapore - first ever store to be opened and having sales already, but so kua zhang, the queue stretched all the way to the toilet and I couldn't even peep in. Only got a glimpse of a load of people inside grabbing clothes off racks while I was on the escalator.
Toh says he's going back in the week to check it out, so I probably will drop by too, when the hype has considerably died down.
Do you think the clothes are nice?
Anyway, finally met up with the others after braving the heavy rain. Headed to LSBC for Evoke Your Dreams (Which was awesome!) thereafter all their arcade mayhem.
Loads of pictures ahead!
We wanted to cut the cake for Dan and Freddy during the interval but was ruined by somebody annoying. Muwahahah.
FYI Mr. Somebody, we are the nicest, most well-behaved kids on Earth ok?
Abigail and I - the ultra bimbos.
I think it's damn funny how the both of us kept making random comments and then bursting into peals of laughter that day! HAHAHA. She's really damn funny, just like Dan.
I think the people behind us in the auditorium were damn annoyed.
Someone's a shoo-in!

The birthday cake that we bought for Dan + Freddy. Chocolate is a universal language. We all headed to the post-concert party after that to show Ben some support as he was hosting, along with a pair of twins. A dancefloor was even formed! Hahah. Should've seen how some people rocked out.

Pretty Yun! I don't know who is the one who said she looks like a principal. Are there such good looking principals?
Random guy walking by - sorry for blinding you with the flash, was just trying to take a picture of the 'dancefloor'. Hahah.

SaturdayDay's Purpose: To celebrate Dan's birthday & help mum out at Clarke Quay.
Gamed at The Cathay's LAN shop! And it was really fun watching the guys (& girls Abigail and Syu Lynn) blast heads off in L4D, watch Korean Gee + Tell Me videos and all. I didn't play lah, it would be practically flushing money down the loo if I did.
But ok, I'm not that bad. Really.
And the gaming highlight, as quoted from Jonathan's blog because I'm lazy:
'There's this really funny thing I wanna share. Abigail was playing L4D (some of you might know of, the zombie-shooting game) and and and, okay, she joined in this random game hosted online. She went on crazy streak and started killing her own teammates! Funniest part was, the three people already inside the game had hell funny names.
1. CallMeLimPei
2. iamgay
3. F-ur-BALLS (I can't really remember the name but it was something like this)
So, Abigail, Syulynn and I, were all laughing at these three idiots and really laughed like nobody's business.
Seeing the CallMeLimPei guy not happy, she went to shoot him. HAHAHA. This was the convo.
Me: Who knows that CallMeLimPei guy might be within this room. HAHAHA.
Abigail: Who knows? Maybe. HAHAHA.
Well, so I just turned and look around....
To my surprise, guess what I saw?
HAHAHA! Yes! It's that CallMeLimPei guy. Again, we laughed even louder. Hahah!! Plus, those three people inside the game, were all kiddos. Like really those primary 6 and just moving on to secondary school kind of kiddos. They were totally oblivous of the surroundings, like us, laughing the shit out of them. HAHAHA.Friggin funny right! Hahahha! Should have seen that kid and his friends' faces. After Abigail left the room they were still hysterically shooting at her character's body.Went for lunch with the others while my boyfriend extended his gaming time. Addict right! All of us left to go eat and he was still playing.
Went to the fish & chips place at the Cathay basement. Second time eating it I think it isn't a nice. Or maybe I was just rushing through lunch fast.

Then we all met up with KT again and idled away time with us girls insisting we should all dance Gee and Tell Me.
I love Abigail and Syu Lynn!
You know the famous part in Tell Me where So Hee goes 'Omona!'
Omona failed.
Omona sucesses!And random madness!

Then we went to play Guitar Heroes!
I am such a...noob.
Hahahah! I keep missing the easy keys, but it was still fun. I don't know how it's possible to play till my arms ached. I think I was really concentrating ok! Still missed so many keys.
The Rockers.
My wannabe-but-never-will-be guitarist boyfriend.
Left early with KT for Clarke Quay so we couldn't cut the cake, sorry Dan!
Made a stop at Burger King to buy dinner for my parents.

Btw, he never has a normal smiling face unless I tell him to, you know. When we got there, my mum told us that toward the later night, there would be trannys walking around. I've always thought they were more commonly found in Thailand.
Mum,
'There's his damn big sized one, who wears really bright colours and has seriously thick makeup who came to my stall yesterday. Wah lau the whole place started vibrating. When I stand beside her I feel slim!' And around 11-ish, we saw her!
My mum wasn't kidding.
She was teetering around on platform sandals, a skin-tight zebra striped dress and had huge hair.
All this was my first glimpse of her in the distance.
Then she turned from afar and walked toward our stall to say hi to my mum. When she leaned forward into the light KT and I had a huge shock.
You know those really heavily made up drag queens? It's something like that, only 10xxxxxxxxx more extreme.
I don't even know how to describe it! Super thick, drawn on eyebrows, blood-red plump lips and eyeliner practically crayoned on.
She (He?) bought a ring from my mum then ran off with her assistant to The Pump Room, saying she had a performance.
Turns out she's a singer okay! HAHAH. Pretty cool huh?
And even though I was pretty much sick of fastfood since it's mostly what we had been having the past 2 days, we went to Macs to eat again. Clarke Quay doesn't really have decent affordable grub lah. Hahah.
He insisted on eating McWings after we had finished. Superbly oily but yummy. I don't know how to eat chicken wings properly though, so I ate one and he polished off the rest.

And yes lah he is very aunty. Does the try-and-squeeze-out-oil thing.
Told him that when he does this he makes me look even fatter than usual so...
Hahaha!Anyway, it has been a great weekend.
Thanks Daniel, for everything! And everyone else, for all the fun we had.
And thank you Freddy, for Friday's events. The weekend has been awesome so far, thanks to you guys. :D
Had fun dancing to Wonder Girls and SNSD with the girls too. It is the most effective language that all teenage girls speak these days - hot Korean boys and catchy tunes!
It is always times like these that I wish I had a lot more time to s pend with people that I really enjoy hanging out with. It is just simply fantastic knowing so many great people but not having enough time to spend with them! The past 2 days that I've spent with the juniors and KT & Toh have been really fun.
I'm really glad that Toh and I are gonna be in the same course though. From being friends in Sec 1 to being the only 2 who joined the camp planning committee in Sec 2 (And freaking out because we were wondering who to talk to at night, we were not friends with the seniors then!) and working together to lead the board in Sec 3 until we graduated - and we're gonna keep working together.
And speaking of him, you guys know that he has gotten a new hairdo right? Elisa and I were the first two to witness his hair transformation! (Which thankfully looks a lot better now than it did before)
On Wednesday, Elisa and I waited for him at the salon from 4plus - 7plus. We had nothing to do but talk nonsense and play the PSP/DS Lite, as well as moan about how hungry we were.
I think we were making a lot of noise!
And the whole salon was occupied with only aunties and they were all glued to the tiny television screen and exclaiming every time the male lead did something vile etc etc.
She also said she's taking Physics lessons now at NYP before school commences and has even got the days when she's gonna skip planned out.
I'm really glad I don't have anything in advance to learn man. Do you know how lazy I am or not! Haha.
So anyway.The witnesses in history-making:
Jonathan Before (Grass-like hair):
Random bananas on the chair we were sitting on. Why? I have no idea. -.-
Jonathan in the Process:
The Brand New Jonathan:
Looks so much better now, don't you think? Told you it's gonna be an investment, Toh. And don't worry, it won't look so flat in a while.
School's starting next week. Business school's orientation is on Thursday to Friday, so that means I only have a weekend after that before school officially starts.
I am gonna miss all of this. All. Of. It.
The bumming around, doing absolutely nothing at all.
Meeting up friends as and well I like.
Hanging out with KT all day.
Sleeping in (!) and staying up at night.
It sucks to become so comfortable with your current life and then you're moving on so suddenly.
But chin up, keep moving forward.
I am looking forward to orientation!
Alright, posting. FINALLy.
(I am currently very hungry, and recording more songs. This bloody entry took me nearly 24 hours.)
P/S: I absolutely cannot stand my brother's stupid playlist of songs. They are so repetitive and boring and annoying!
P/P/S: I love the new Pet Society recycling tool. HAHAH. And I'm gonna start playing Word Challenge again.
P/P/P/S: Bought a new book to read today! B) Gonna be happily reading before bed tonight. Good way to chase away the Monday blues, ya think? Also, I am clearing out my closet. What should I do with the clothes? Donate it for a good cause? Plus, I'm itching to buy new ones before I've even made space. Triple shit.
