Too fast to live
Wednesday, September 30, 2009 @ 1:08 AM

In all my 17 years, I have been blessed with meeting and getting to know some of the greatest people on Earth who make each and every single day of living worth it, and I am really, really glad to have known each and every one of them.

This isn't something out of the blue. I just feel it in my bones.

Today's the start of my short-lived but going-to-be-well-spent freedom and I will be meeting the CMM people for old skool Seoul Garden later today. Almost all of 'em except Jeanny Jean Jean who is relief teaching and tearing her hair out by the roots because of noisy 13 to 14 year olds.

Why old skool anyway? Because it has always been the cliche choice for secondary school students to head to for 'celebrations' and all what. I think I was no exception. All the times I've been to Seoul Garden are for such purposes HAHAH.

Canon Ixus 100?

Lumix LX3?

I know Canon cameras are really good by reviews from experts and friends but the Lumix is a semi pro (More $$ too) and when Lai Han mentioned she wanted the Olympus Pen I got reminded that the Lumix also existed.

I think I'm just desperate for a camera right now!

And this is very perculiar but I always sleep earlier whenever I don't have work the next day. Not to mention blabber a lot of nonsense.

P/S: CAN YOU BELIEVE 09 IS GONNA END IN ANOTHER 3 MONTHS????????????

Yay ^^
Tuesday, September 29, 2009 @ 1:15 AM

I know it sucks to read about work but i don't really hate it, just that who doesn't anticipate the end !!! With money!!! $$$.

1 day left 1 day left 1 day left to my 4 days of solid break!! Which I completely deserve after 9 workings days + only 1 off.

And I have already planned what I wanna do and all - which means I am not gonna rot my 4 days away at home sleeping although I would love to. But way too much of my supposed holidays have been spent smiling widely at customers who don't even care, it's time to finally live it up a little. Work officially ends next Monday. Soon no one will be reading job whinings anymore hehehe. This space will be filled with only interesting things.

Met Cher for lunch today & she finally got her cousin's present, and I really think Fossil watches look really good now. It's been quite some time since I stepped into one of their stores! Today kinda reminded me how of my mum used to buy me those limited edition watches but they were the kiddish type. Still expensive though. My last one was a Paddington bear one that came in a cute little suitcase but my dad lost the watch -.- I still have the case though. Somewhere.

Still weighing the pros and cons for different camera options right now. Super excited to buy one! The Panasonic one that I have been using for a couple of months is now sitting outside on a table in the living room - almost completely destroyed. The lens is out on camera mode but it's not even on. That's how bad it is. And the last time I managed to get it on and snap a picture during my brother's birthday, the screen had all sorts of weird, coloured scratchy lights.

New camera!!!!! Ahhhh. Thinking about the Lumix Lx3 and the Canon Ixus 100. One has better specs, more expensive but the other one's pretty and functional enough for me. How to choose! Will prolly spend another month thinking.

And Cher, I've decided. I am gonna cut my hair!!! The coming Sat should be ok.

Ok, gonna sleep now & be really, really happy once tomorrow ends!!

Friday, September 25, 2009 @ 11:35 PM

Gonna blog as much as I want today.

Sometimes I really wish that somehow, just somehow, I was really well off so that I don't have to hear my mum voice her thoughts out loud about how the bills are so expensive and she just isn't earning enough money.

And working at Tommy allows us to see all sorts of rich people stroll in, grab whatever they want and declare that they are gonna get in without even looking at the price tag.

Ok I guess some of them aren't rich, just more well-to-do. And I promise myself that one day, I am gonna earn enough to at least let myself and the ones I love live comfortably, because we only live once and we ought to work as hard as we can to not worry about finances at all.

Not that I am not contented with what I have now, but everybody wants to work harder and achieve greater things right?

I am gonna make sure my parents have a comfortable retirement! This really means I have to put more thought into what I want to do and how I am gonna get there.

Anyway, I only have officially 6 more working days before my month at Tommy is over. I can't say I'll truly miss working, but it was great to meet all the new people and to try out working in the service line.

And yes I will not spend so much money from now on because money is indeed hard to earn. Easier said than done because it is: Harder to save. But I don't think I can stand watching hard earned money flying away so I shall just force myself to not waste what I've earned.

(You'll see me not keeping to my promise so you have to shake me or something if you see me sinning HAHAHAH)

Guess whose off day it was today? Heh and I spent it dully, visiting the ICA building to get my new passport and then shopping nearly 3 hours alone at Bugis while waiting for Kt to finish school. Contemplated going to Stef's but too lazy I'm sorry hon we will definitely hang next week!!

And one thing I MUST do once work ends is to spring clean!! My house is accumulating dust bunnies and I have a ton of things I have to learn to part with and throw out. Plus, change of blog layout to brighten this space.

Do you know that at work, I actually wrote 3 whole pages of 50. 'To Do and Buy's when I got super bored alone? Hahaha.

One thing I might splurge on is the Canon Ixus 100. I'm not good with choosing cameras but Canon ones are good and affordable.

Just a little more to go
Thursday, September 24, 2009 @ 12:54 PM

I've been so out of touch with Blogger, Tumblr and not to mention, having a personal social life. Explains the lousy readership too but who to blame! Hahaha. But the good news is, I just have 7 more days of work left (Not counting my off days!) and then I'll be able to have time to spend on fun things in the last 2 weeks of holiday.

And I don't know what happened but I think my stupid cough is coming back and it's beginning to hurt again. :(

Cannot wait till I get a new camera. Any suggestions, guys? Just leave me a comment.
Ohhhhhhh and with my money, I CAN FINALLY BUY SIMS 3 WOOHOO. After so long. :)

Ok, gonna go prepare now then head to work. Cya guys soon!

Yesterday was the 23rd again. ^^

Killer
Saturday, September 19, 2009 @ 11:40 PM

Everyone's rejoicing over their long weekend holiday but oh well...yeah.

Was on Livejournal then saw my latest post, which was before the holidays, talking about all the slackerish things I had planned to do this holiday but I have barely done one thing ha ha ha.

That aside, all the best to me in the next week! Can't wait to make plans with everyone again soon.

Bad, bad throat.
@ 12:56 AM

Gonna just rant like mad today.

Tomorrow is my last off day before killer work week begins. Btw, killer work week = working 6 out of 7 days next week, resting for 1 day, then working another 4 days in a row. That pretty much sums up September.

I know it's gonna be mentally (Not physically, MENTALLY!) exhausting, but I'm just gonna stick it through because it's gonna be beneficial in the end, right?

And I think Cher's cough has really rubbed off on me cos now my throat is itchy and scratchy like a crazy bitch and I feel really uncomfortable. This morning I woke up at 6 AM just because my throat was giving me a hell lot of problems and there wasn't even warm water for me to drink. :( Drifted back to sleep feeling pretty weird.

I don't know what I was thinking just now when I ate Mos Burger for lunch - then ate MOS chicken during my break. I am really asking for a death wish, seriously. Urghhh and it's only when I am not feeling so well that I crave eating such unhealthy things!

Spent lots of time thinking about what we wanted to buy and do after our pay arrives. That is, if we still have money left over. I really need a new camera! Should I? But it'll be definitely washing out a huge amount of my pay and then I'll be suffering from severe heartache again. It happened when I bought my iPod but at least the latter is put to good use everyday! A camera would too, especially since I blog so much.

Oh a happier note, Cher and my Korean spree clothes have arrived! Wasn't at home when the registered post arrived so we're gonna collect it tomorrow and have lunch, then I'm gonna head over to Kt's to spend the day. Simple days with great people are the best. And I still wanna go to Stef's place on a weekday!

And today, I felt like a celebrity cos Kt came to have lunch with me, then Toh and Elisa dropped by, and so did Stef! Thanks, beloved people, you all made my day so much better I swear. ♥♥♥

Gonna drown some cough meds and then hit the sack. There's only so much my poor soul can take!

P/S: I CAN'T WAIT TO GO SHOPPINGGGGGGGGGGGGG. Finally, it's not just empty talk!!

The List
Thursday, September 17, 2009 @ 12:51 AM

Came across this on Sammy's blog and then once again on Tumblr, and I think it does make a lot of sense so it should be passed around.

Long list of little things that make you Happy:

Sleeping In on a Rainy Day – As the rain beats lightly against the window, you nestle your head deeper into your pillow. The sound is soothing and your bed feels like a sanctuary. There is no place you would rather be.

Finding Money You Didn’t Know You Had– You reach into your pocket and find a $20 bill from the last time you wore these jeans. You aren’t rich, but you are richer than you were a second earlier.

Making Brief Eye Contact with Someone of the Opposite Sex – You pass her on the street or in the subway. She glances up at you momentarily, making direct eye contact in a way that seems to communicate a subtle curiosity. For a split second it makes you think… and then it’s gone.

Skinny Dipping – There is something mysteriously liberating about being naked in a body of water. You are naked, but it feels natural, a sense of unrefined freedom.

Receiving a Real Letter or Package via Snail Mail – E-mail has become the primary source of written communication. Most snail mail these days is junk mail. When you check the mail and find a real letter or package from someone you know, excitement overtakes you as you tear into this rare gift.

Making the Yellow Light - It’s one of the most common simple pleasures, the act of beating the pack. As you blaze through the yellow light you glance in your rearview to see all the cars behind you stopping at the red light. Yes! You made it!

Telling a Funny or Interesting, True Story - One of the most enticing roles you lead in life is that of the storyteller. You love to share stories, especially those that will captivate your audience with deep curiosity and humor. There are few things more satisfying than telling a true story that others enjoy listening to.

Seeing a Friend Stumble Over Himself – As you walk across the street with your friend, he fails to accurately address the curb on the other side. He trips and stumbles around momentarily before regaining his footing, then swiftly attempts to play it off like nothing happened. This can be a hilarious sight if the moment is right.

Hearing the Right Song at the Right Moment - It doesn’t matter what the setting is, hearing the right song for that moment is one of those simple pleasures in life that instantly lifts your spirits. You could be driving home from work, hanging out at a bar with friends, or jogging. When the right song rattles your ear drums the entire meaning of life seems crystal clear.

The First Sip of a Beverage When You’re Thirsty – You just finished mowing the lawn or taking a long jog. The only thing on your mind is an ice-cold glass of water. When you are really, really thirsty, that first sip of any liquid beverage is sheer bliss.

Catching a Glimpse of Bare Skin on the Opposite Sex – For guys, it’s when the waitress bends over a little too far. For girls it’s seeing that buff guy in a Speedo. Either way, when you see a bit more skin than you were expecting on the opposite sex, you can’t help but to smirk on the inside.

Saying the Same Thing Simultaneously – There is a moment of silence. Then all of the sudden you and your friend blurt out the same exact set of words simultaneously. This rare occurrence is something to smile about.

The Pull-Through Parking Spot – You pull into a parking spot and are delighted to see the availability of the parking spot immediately in front of you. You pull through to the spot in front so that when you return to the car you can drive forward out of the parking spot. Why? Because driving backwards is a pain in the butt.

Realizing You Have More Time to Sleep – Something abruptly awakens you and you think it’s time to get up. Then you squint over at your alarm clock and realize you still have 2 more hours to sleep. A warm euphoric feeling shoots though your body as you glide gracefully back to your dreams.

People Watching – Sitting there on your bench you can see people in every direction. Tall people, small people, thin and plump. Blond, brunette, and redhead alike. Each of them has a different stride and a unique expression. As you drift from body to body you are mesmerized by what you see.

Putting On Clothes Straight from the Dryer – As soon as the dryer buzzes, you pull out your clothes and put them on. They feel soothingly warm on your skin and emit a fresh-scented aroma into the air. A sentiment of ease comes over you as you head out to conquer the day.

A Familiar Smell – You just pulled into your parent’s driveway and opened the car door. You haven’t been home in a long while. You smell familiarity in the air, the scent of a large pine tree in the neighbor’s yard. As you head through the front door, more familiar smells consume your senses. Gosh, it feels good to be home…

The Feeling You Get When Your Idea Works – You have been struggling to resolve a complex problem all day and you just can’t seem to get it right. Filled with frustration, you decide to exercise one last idea before calling it a night. You’ve had many ideas before that failed miserably… but this time it works.

Fresh, Clean Bed Sheets – You yank at the corner of the bedspread to create just enough space to slide your body under the freshly cleaned sheets. The sheets feel cool to the touch. Everything seems so clean, like nobody has ever slept in this bed before.

A Beautiful View – As the car veers around the side of the mountain you gaze out the passenger window. It’s a clear, sunny day and you can see the entire valley below filled with wild flowers and bright green vegetation. The scenery reminds you of something you once saw in National Geographic. But here it is live, right before your eyes.

Reminiscing About Old Times with Your Closest Friends – Pink Floyd once said “the memories of a man in his old age are the deeds of a man in his prime”. There is no simple pleasure more satisfying than recounting the greatest moments of your life with your closest friends who lived these moments alongside you.

Receiving an Unexpected Compliment – It’s been an average day. Nothing really great has happened, but nothing terrible occurred either. This monotonous day has put you in a dreary mood. Unexpectedly, an older, attractive lady taps you on the shoulder, calls you “handsome” and says she loves your shirt. The day just got a whole lot better.

Having a Good Laugh – Laughter is the greatest cure of all. Life is extraordinary in the moments when you are laughing so hard you can barely breathe. These moments of deep laughter are divine in the sense that they cleanse your mood and set your mind on a positive track.

The Feeling After a Healthy Workout - It’s a giddy feeling of self accomplishment; the one true activity that actually makes you feel better and look better simultaneously. When you walk out the front door of the gym you are on top of the world.

The Celebration in the Instant Something Makes Sense – Even now that it has explained to you for the third time, you just don’t understand how it works. Everyone else seems to understand but you. Then out of the blue the dots connect in your mind. You finally get it, and it feels great!

Relaxing Outdoors on a Sunny Day – As you relax sprawled out in a lawn chair, the sun warms your skin and a light breeze keeps the temperature comfortable. Birds are chirping merrily in the trees behind you. You are at complete peace with the environment.

Holding Hands with Someone You Love – Every time she grabs your hand you are overcome with an awareness of how much she means to you. Holding hands is sensual and physically intimate, yet subtle. There are few people you allow to hold your hand, so when it happens you can be sure that the moment is special.

Playing in the Water – Water marvels people of all ages. From jumping in puddles as a child, to doing cannon balls in the pool as an adolescent, to enjoying a cocktail in the Jacuzzi as an adult… water is enjoyable.

Making Someone Smile – You notice that your colleague has been under a great deal of stress with meeting a deadline, so you take it upon yourself to complete one of her indirect responsibilities for her. As soon as she realizes what you did, she comes into your office with a big smile on her face. “Thank you”, she says. You just hit two birds with one stone, because making her smile just made your day.

Finishing What You Started – You just finished up a big project you’ve been working on for the last few months, or maybe you just finished your first marathon… Either way, you finalized what you set out to accomplish. The feeling of self accomplishment you get when you finish what you started is by far one of the most rewarding simple pleasures life has to offer.

As I was reading through the list, it hit me how each and every single thing about it is true! So quit whining about life people, and embrace the simplicity of some of the greatest moments you'll ever have.

Off Day.
Wednesday, September 16, 2009 @ 2:57 PM

It's my off day and I am rotting at home with absolutely nothing to do except eat or sleep some more. It sounds like a good plan except I don't wanna grow any larger sideways.

Sighhh I'm waiting for Kt to end school so we can decide what to do. Initially, I wanted to catch the Time Traveller's Wife but to my horror, it only screens at The Cathay & Orchard Cineleisure - which are two places I really wanna avoid since I head to town everyday for work. But even so, the slots for the movie today are already filling up super fast! :(:( By the time we wanna buy tickets they'll be all sold out.

This is really why I need my own card, you see. I am gonna book movie tickets every single time. I hate queuing up to buy tickets only to be slammed with the fact that slots are all sold out when I reach the front counter.

Gahhhhhh I need to do something!! :(

I am your Super Girl
Tuesday, September 15, 2009 @ 12:48 AM

Warning: This should be a rather fangirly post.

Super Junior M Super Girl MV

AFIAJSISJXSK it's finally out. The teaser was good but the song sounded really weird in it so I'm glad the final MV looks and sounds better!

I can't stop spazzing over Hangeng. How is it he looks so cute !!!! As a geek B) He has officially won my heart all over again. Finally, finally, he gets like 98% of the attention in an MV - which is what I have been hoping for since Suju's 05 debut. Very biased, I know! Gotta love him for being Suju-M's leader.

Siwon & Henry are looking cuter too. Really like how Siwon's dance moves are getting slicker (Everybody is dancing super, super well!) and he still is as charismatic as ever. ^^ And he no longer really resembles Zhou Mi, which is a good thing!

Ahhhhh Hannie! <3<3<3

Photobucket

This has totally made my day. I saw that the MV was out during work but I couldn't watch it on my E63 so it's the first thing I watched when I came back. Deliriously happy & gonna watch it three thousand times more now. I need it in my iPod ASAP.

/End of fangirl post.

Lots of schedule changes at work - but looking at the lessening days at work makes me a lot hopeful and happier. I'm blessed to be working with friends so I shouldn't be lamenting at all but this is just how people are. Never really appreciating what they have right!

Anyway, a sneak peek into what our sleepover was like! Thanks again, Eudora, for letting us trash your gorgeous attic. Rest of the piccys are on Facebook!

It felt like a very primary school kind of thing but it was really, really fun. Majorly enjoyed it to the maxxxx. Especially after being mostly occupied with work for so long - it was awesome to have a real break.

But I didn't even sleep for more than an hour lah. I found out what being a zombie felt like after that.

Anyway, I am devastated to discover recently that Clubbox has officially vanished off the face of this earth. No more real HQ videos anymore = outdated iPod videos.

If anyone has a better alternative, please let me know! :( I'm desperate for entertainment while on the way to work/school/shopping.

P/S I am gonna miss Miss thecatfights Fiona!! I know you will read this. Plus, I saw your chocolates in the storeroom the other day! Nice ah!

Change
Sunday, September 13, 2009 @ 2:40 AM

I'm contemplating on changing this entire space, so watch out for a revamped space. It'll probably happen in a million years' time though, looking at how much I procastinate.

So, last night was spent at Eudora's with the girls for a sleepover, which was really really really fun and fufilling although everyone went to bed too quickly and I was alone and wide awake. :( I really dragged myself over though cos work made me sleepy as always.

I still don't get how you guys can make so much noise about me resting for like 10 seconds then zonking off into dreamland while Nava and I were watching A Walk To Remember!!!!! And Nava you went to sleep after that too, you betrayer. :(

About the movie, I loved it, although I've never read the book.

Photobucket

Found out it was released in '02 and that's almost 10 whole years ago. Explains the clothes and old skool feel about the entire movie. Plus I really thought the guy was super cute but I believe bad boys in reality don't act like that at all.

AND FOR THE RECORD, I friggin love Eudora's attic. It's the cosiest little place in the world. She's got those really pretty, rainbow coloured windows. You know, the kind you find in churches?

Photobucket

I think they're called stained glass windows or something. But it's brilliant. I was telling her it looked really pretty when I first reached her place around 1AM in the morning and she said, "You should see it in the morning."

And I did, when I woke up. It was so, so, so pretty!!

Eudora, I officially wanna move in with you.

Mini Chong Aik belated birthday celebration today and us girls bought him a shirt from River Island after much heavy contemplation. Glad we're finally, finally done with the present-hunting! Headed over to Kt's after that to look at clothes his mum manufactured and had a mini clothes parading session. There was this army print dress that reminded me so much of SNSD and Genie! I love it. ^^

Saw the teaser for SUJU-M's Super Girl (Supar gurl) and although I am still not digging the whole cheena thing, Siwon & Hankyung look awesome!

Photobucket

Hannie's beginning to look like someone familiar but I just can't figure out who is that person hmmmmmmmm.

I'm still waiting for the time after work ends in exactly another 2 weeks to finally just...breathe. Sleep-filled lazy weekdays and watching movies on the couch with yummy onion rings.

Having people around you is just one of the best feelings in the world but sometimes all you need is some space from reality and time to just think about what you really want to do with your life. I need some of that time.

Gonna hit the sack cos sleepovers deprive you of what they are weirdly named for. May tomorrow be a good working day filled with food.

^^
Thursday, September 10, 2009 @ 8:50 PM

45 minutes more to go before we're off. Work was tiring today, but I guess there were funny moments. Think without them we would have fallen asleep much faster. Btw, Lai Han and Mich, I just realised what you mean by you can't see what you're typing when you use my tagboard - I can't see anything using my cellphone either! Gonna switch to haloscan in abit. Annnnd during break, I ran to Far East to get my laptop sleeve. Had to eat in barely 10 minutes? Didn't enjoy my lunch at all. Hopefully, I'll be able to collect it ASAP. Alright, wish me luck till end of work?

Spectacular
@ 12:37 AM

That's just how I wanna be-be-be-be-be.

Work tomorrow & the day after and then even on Sunday. But hey, I figured, that's okay, because I've just realised that the second week of my holiday has just about flown by, but it's felt like ages already.

Results are gonna be out tomorrow but honestly, I haven't really had the time to worry or think about it. Work and meeting up with people I ♥ has kept me busy. By the way, Yi Hui dropped by my workplace today to eat lunch with me! Thank you girl for being willing to drop by even though you had an interview afterward.

Full shift tomorrow please let me survive really well.

ANDDDDDDDDDD yep, I voted for Duane on SG Idol on Sam & Jac's pleas hehe and also because he does sing really well, just probably didn't show his full potential today.
I saw you guys on TV too - enthusiastic to the maxxxx.

Also,

Happy Birthday, Lim Chong Aik.

This is so cliche but you're a really awesome friend despite certain weird times and circumstances, and I'm glad that we did get to become friends. You're one of a kind, and that's really special to me.

(I posted pictures in this space but I completed forgot about resizing them first so they are all tiny and because of that, I SHALL NOT POST PICTURES. use your imagination.)

Gonna love you for a long, long, long time to come. And we'll be friggin awesome always. I'll try my best to look for you after work if I haven't officially died ok?

P/S:
I am really broke. :( I never gave working serious thought but I think I'm destined to get this job during the holidays, because I was destined to empty my bank account as well.

This is so so so bad. I need money management classes.

Btw, 090909 was SNSD dayyy!

Tommy's Girls
Monday, September 07, 2009 @ 12:56 AM

Blogging using my E63 now. Business's pretty slow now. We really want to go home now. Maybe sleep for a year or two. When I see people walking around freely I feel so constricted!! Can you believe I've been here for a week and I have not stepped out of Taka's main doors yet?

/Edit

Finally back home with my butt glued on on my lousy, fugly but somewhat comforting green computer chair. Thought we were gonna end at 10 PM today so surprise surprise - at 9.30 PM the goodbye music sounded. Music to my ears - never been used in a more effective way, I swearrrr.

Just watched f(x)'s full Mucore performance (Attemping to watch on my tiny handphone screen with lousy graphics was a bad, bad idea) and I'm reminded by how when artistes debut, they always look exactly the same as they do in their MVs. As in, clothes and hairwise. I can't wait for them to start experimenting with different styles! 4 Minute's Muzik has just not stuck to me...at alllll.

And btw, Jean & Stef, remember, Tuesday evening dinner !! If Toh is able to go we shall drag SL & Brenda along.

& my best friend's birthday is coming on Thursday. I am really bad at birthdays and presents, even for my own boyfriend or close companions, so someone please clue me in. I just hate having anyone forgotten. But I don't know how to make them feel special.

But remembering, in a way, is kind of special, right?

Weekends with Cher
Sunday, September 06, 2009 @ 12:56 AM

I'm spending the entire weekend working full shifts with Cher (But well, she got only half a shift today!).

I thought it was gonna be really, really fun but now we're both just dead tired and probably will be like sleeping pigs tomorrow during our shifts. I think if I am gonna look at Tommy clothes any longer I might just scream. Was kinda funny how we were like handicapped people insisting on taking the lift instead of the escalator at the MRT station though.

But my poor feet. They really do hurt. :( Maybe I should invest in one of those ugly but comfortable shoes.

Anyway, on the bus home, I made up a list (again) of things I am gonna buy when I get my pay!! Hahaha. It seriously keeps me damn damn happy.

Next week is gonna be completely and totally packed, so let's hope it's gonna be fufilling. The one thing I do enjoy about work is the company and the fact that every day seems to be maximised to its fullest.

Gonna hit the sack. Night all!

Too Qoo.

This is my favourite drink since forever and my dad bought a whole carton of it back home the other day! This is one of the reasons why I love him so much! My fave drink in the middle of the night. Bliss!

Anyway, work today was very very very good because an English man made my day. He was disabled, with only one leg and was on crutches, and was a really handsome young man. He was browsing through a rack of dresses when I approached him.

Me, "Can I help you, sir?"

Man *Face lights up*, "Yes sure! I am looking for a dress for my girlfriend. She likes pastel colours."

He went on to describe his girlfriend as pear-shaped and chuckled in delight. Then he asked for a size S in the dress and when I held it out to him, he beamed and said, "I'll take it!"

After that, he spotted a white dress he liked as well and I tried looking for S, but the teeny weeny storeroom apparently did not have any, so I told him we didn't have it in stock anymore. And usually this wouldn't really bother me but the fact that he was so happy to find something he wanted to give his girlfriend and then failed to really made me a little regretful.

Barely five minutes after he left, Jeremy was like, "Are you sure we don't have it anymore?" *Points to a pile of white dresses under a table that I missed*

And OMG there really was the dress in size S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because I knew it was something special to him, I went to look for him around the level but apparently, he walks super fast and I couldn't find him. Then when I went back, I saw him at the shop!! Jeremy said he spotted him at Desigual and told him about the dress and he bought it immediately.

Then when I brought him to the counter to make payment, he was asking me whether Taka had a florist, because he wanted to buy flowers for her. The cashier told him there was one in the basement and he swung off happily muttering 'Flowers!' under his breath.

I. HAVE. NEVER. SEEN. A. CUTER. AND. MORE. SINCERE. GUY. THAN. HIM. BEFORE!!!!!

Hahah maybe that's a little bit of an exaggeration, but I am not kidding when I say he was so earnest about the whole dress-buying thing and so affectionate when he talked about his girlfriend! Totally heart-melting. Plus, I like how he didn't think contemplate for a loooong time on whether to buy the dress but was so confident she'd like it.

:):):) Good way to close the day. And because the chicken rice at dinner sucked (Never again am I going to the canteen), I went to LJS @ Cineleisure (It was like the North Pole) to eat with Jeremy after work before heading home.

Tomorrow, I'm gonna meet Kt again. Life is good. I am extraordinarily happy today.

P/S: The guy also said he has been in Singapore for a year and working as a doctor in Tan Tock Seng but I didn't know whether to believe that bit cos he looked like he was kidding me. He did laugh when I said I couldn't find him when I tried and said, "How can you not! I'm the only 3-legged animal in this place!"

I still prefer staying home.

Thank you for always giving in and making me laugh although sometimes I really want to strangle you with my innermost strength and roll my eyes whenever you crack the lamest, stupidest jokes on earth and only give me more than one missed call when you have fashion dilemmas and I think they are uncalled for because I wanna shop for you instead and how you always fall asleep and well...the list goes on!

But you are still No. 1 on my list no matter what others think because you keep things going. ^^

P/S: Gah work till 10PM later with Jeremy. :( I think I'm gonna cry when Xingyun leaves after her shift. I wish I end at 6PM. or 5 hours earlier.

September
Wednesday, September 02, 2009 @ 1:30 AM

The past day and night have been a real blur and I am not kidding. This comes to me every month but I can't believe September is here. Just four more months before the year comes to a close once again. I still vividly remember attending the countdown party last year and telling Kt that we should go back again the next year.

At this moment right here right now the next year = 4 months' time!!

Most memorable parts of my '08 countdown were:

Remembering only the good things.

I also remember them showing a video of 08's events and happenings, both the good and the bad. I remember they mentioned things like the Sichuan earthquake. I remember a short part of the video saying that we ought to be prepared for the '09 cos there was bound to be more obstacles to face.

It's just kinda freaking thinking about it. Since this year H1N1 swept across the world.

Moving on to other things after that random thought (But I do hope I'm going to the countdown again this year!):

I met Cher late last night (Teacher's Day celebrations in the day made me happy though, cos of the people I got to see and missed!) before we headed to Orchard to Jeremy and her primary school mate XingYun. And guess what for? WORK.

We friggin only started setting up around 11PM. :(

Cartons and cartons of Tommy clothes that made me wanna fall asleep after everything. We managed to get home at 3plus. Thank goodness for cabfare claims and nice parents.

So anyway, we got our work schedules just last night and guess who was the lucky one to start work today while some bum watched Family Outing all day?

It was kinda hellish to wake up at 7 AM after barely 4 hours of sleep and drag myself to Orchard, but the day wasn't all that bad although we had to keep folding/steaming the clothes. Plus the fact that I thought I was gonna be late at first but had Jeremy texting me and telling me he was only on his way when it was close to 9.30AM.

And I weren't really expecting customers but there were, which us on our toes.

I didn't expect it at first, but thank goodness for nice colleagues that are all somehow acquainted.

I'm off tomorrow though. Happy! And thank you Nuffnang, for letting the G-Force preview be on my free day. Wanted to give the tickets to my sis to go with a friend/me but she doesn't wanna go all the way to Orchard. To think I was being nice for once!

To more or less sum things up, Happy Teacher's Day to all teachers out there. My favourite ones are Ms D. Chan and Ms Allyson T. Also, a really Happy 21st Birthday to my brother. I really hope you're growing up.

P/S: When I get my first paycheck I am gonna buy everyone I love some food, buy myself nice things and finally learn Korean.
