Sick and tired
Saturday, October 31, 2009 @ 9:52 PM

I am getting really annoyed by people who think they/their life/the people around them/their harmless cat or dog suck and that they are doomed to die in misery. I mean, nothing is more pathetic than people who pity themselves. Was digusted to see people like that today.

I am not gonna be unrealistic and compare your lives to the disabled orphans in the world nor to the old lady across the street begging for money to get by each day - but how bad can your life be when you have friends who bother to listen to you, to actually be able to go to Orchard, sit at Starbucks and whine at the top of your lungs while having your iPhone 3GS on the table unattended waiting for grabs? Sure maybe you do have everyday cock ups and problems but who doesn't? Sure maybe 'I am not you and I will not understand' but guess what? I never want to be.

The worse part is that whenever I attempt thinking about people's reactions if I talked about such issues, somehow the image of them coming up with reasons to support why their lyyfee suxxx comes to mind.

And you know what is the problem with that? They seem to want their life to suck. There's difference between talking about your problems and fishing for undeserved sympathy.

I don't pity you guys. I think you all downright need some self reflection.

(This post is not to anyone in particular but things I saw today and my own thoughts so if you think I'm talking about you, well you're either wrong or you think you're such a person. PEACE.)

On a lighter note, I got a really pretty pink cellphone case on Friday. Usually the only colours I see are black or red so this was a gem!!

Thursday, October 29, 2009 @ 6:50 PM

Thursday already, it's coming to the end of the week. Thank goodness. But then the whole week rewinds itself again oh well.

Also, my mum tells me not to work and help her out at her upcoming fleamarts instead cos she believes working will kill my studying mood. Which will, definitely. But I'm still contemplating. Firstly because I need $. Secondly, I need $$$!!!!

What's holding me back is the distance, my own procastination and obviously, a total and complete lack of free time.

You guys will know how how time I want for myself to do things because I am barely swayed for the fact that Kt is applying as well.

Dear myself:

- Buy printer ink ASAP.
- Do MMP quiz
- Get more sleep. You look like Hello Panda.

Anticipate the weekend ahead, guys!

Stuffed
Wednesday, October 28, 2009 @ 12:41 AM

For the past two days, my stomach has been giving me incredibly horrid problems. I have no idea if it is due to the fact that I wolf down food faster than a hungry dog eats or because I have been eating in larger portions these days!

Whatever the case is, the feeling is really sickening and hopefully it goes away. I dropped by Kt's place today after French lecture (I did not understand anything, which simply killed me.) to eat dinner with him and he gave me these strange digestion pills.

I really appreciate his concern but I am a little suspicious of its contents!! Hahahah.

Anyway, because I have been a good girl and attended French today, tomorrow's an off day for me and I shall spend it doing assignments way in advance and figuring out how on Earth I am gonna buy my camera.

I've more or less set my eye on the Panasonic Lumix LX3 because it is compact enough to tote around and takes pretty sharp pictures. Especially if one knows how to use it to its fullest potential!

I figured that well hey, since I will be using it for photography the entire semester, I might as well splurge and get it now instead of saving and buying it a couple of months later right? Yet, if I wait a better deal might just come by.

It's exasperating. I think it all boils down to money.

On a side note, I need a goal in life man. I see so many of my friends gaining invaluable experiences and I am jealous!

I always seem to spend nights on MSN talking to Rebby about our boyfriends! Hahaha. It's nice to though. Someone to share thoughts and opinions with.

Also, Stef and I are going crazy now with cooking games. HAHAHAHA.

Excited
Tuesday, October 27, 2009 @ 12:17 AM

It's the first day of week 2 sem 2 and so far so good. I'm enjoying the challenges our new modules seem to be bringing, as well as the flexible timetable.

The only killjoy is the notes-printing part. Once again I feel unbelievably restricted. Oh well!

Thinking about working, splurging on a want/need and all sorts of other daydreamy amazing things right now. I should really just print my notes for tomorrow, focus and then maybe go to bed.

G'night!

Sunday, October 25, 2009 @ 1:02 PM

I have a million things that I want to accomplish running through my head right now but I just can't seem to actually get to the doing part. :(

Sunday already. How fast has another week gone by? At least Monday only has a 2 hour lecture. Perfect way to ease us back into school.

Anybody wanna go out and grab a coffee and just chill?

Bazaar Days
Saturday, October 24, 2009 @ 2:28 PM

I love spending a Friday and Saturday/Sunday of the month at one of my favourite places in Singapore. It started out way back in my primary school days, when the now Yellow Jello and Rebel was non-existant and the building was used for people who wanted to try something a little different in life rented a small monthly space for them to sell their own loots.

Back then, rental only costed around SGD$200 a month and the flea markets were held every weekend. Those were the greatest times because instead of clubs and pubs that are now present there, there were old rickety stalls selling coconuts, cold drinks, satay, Malay and Chinese street food - that kinda thing.

And I remember there used to be a makeshift haunted house there which costed quite a bomb just to go in. It was quite funny then because we (My cousins and sister) would be standing right outside the house on the ground floor and looking up at the second floor where this person who was paid to be a ghoul and scare us would be all decked out in black and a Scream-style mask and beckoning us to go in. And all of us would just stay rooted where and were and laughed at him. I can vividly recall my sister shouting we had no money to go in and he disappeared for a couple of seconds, then reappeared waving dollar notes at us!!!

So anyway, Clarke Quay is not what it was then as how I remembered it (And it was even more different decades back!) but I still love it now! No more flea markets but a weekend bazaar every 2nd last weekend of the month if I am not wrong.

Hope you guys are enjoying your weekends as much as I am! (We took pictures with our eyes closed because the flash was too bright hahahah!) And looking very gross cos we it was close to 2AM ok.

And also, I'm wondering if I should save money and just get my camera fixed or get a new one for me to use throughout the festive seasons that are coming up! Will give it much thought because for one thing, it's not like I have a lot of money!!Absolutely cannot wait for payday on the 31st. ^^ Which is also next Saturday and Nitish's birthday!! And Halloween !

Cleaning up my room
Friday, October 23, 2009 @ 12:54 PM

...Because my dad messed it up by placing a gigantic huge fugly metal cabinet in it and now I have to rearrange every single thing to make this place look pleasant again.

Gahhhh and what bothers me the most is that my notes and all is in a horrible mess.

Sigh oh well...Clarke Quay tonight!! Hopefully the Halloween week brings in a pile.

Happy 27th Monthsary!

Wah sian I just...missed French lecture that I was looking forward to today!!! Hahahah can't believe I woke up 2 hours after my alarm was slated to ring (I don't know if it did) and only because Toh called.

I still remember thinking, 'Wah lao I told him I could get up on my own pfft.' Not even realising the sun was already up.

Oh well. I hope tomorrow's tutorial is good though. I still feel friggin stupid now. Ok la granted the lecture was only for an hour but still!! Hahahah.

Anyway, hung out with Cher yesterday after lecture. Was fun to just hang out and chill and yak the hours away. And a bit of shopping. Cheap thrills and not-worth-the-money accessories!

Because Yi Hui wanted to catch April Bride, I read up on it online firsthand and every review said it absolutely sucked. So I was kinda...dreading today's movie. And guess what? IT REALLY DID SUCK.

Spent 2 hours of my life watching something that was supposedly sad but due to too much dragging it became mundane.

Got my French notes from Toh just now. Fingers crossed that tomorrow's tutorial is gonna be good.

Btw, I like Kt's haircut alot better now. No more crazily thick bush! ^^

Monday, October 19, 2009 @ 11:45 PM

First day back wasn't so bad, and it's funny how we've plans for the entire week although school's already started. I guess week 1 without tutorial is sort of easing us back from the holidays.

Also, I have an incredible itch to watch Glee 8 this Thursday after listening to Glee after Glee song my iPod every single day. Can't wait! And Nava sent me a DL link for 500 Days of Summer, which I've just finished DL-ing!! I'm gonna watch it on my iPod to death.

Also, if Toh and I can find a French lect to crash on another day, we'll have Wed free!!! (Might be an unsuccessful plan though...)

Ahh life was perfect until my mum came in and handed me my letter with the posb passbook balance. Gah.

Looking very shiat but happy!

I had a really good time hanging out with all of them. And I was really happy to see Ms Allyson Tan, (whom we all call Allyson now for obvious reasons muwahahah) who was our Lit teacher for what - 6 months? - during Sec 2! So you can imagine how much we loved her and managed to stay in contact right up till now. Can't believe it's been a good 3 years.

And Lai Han, your new place is gorgeous. I still can't get over it! Sleepover in Dec is a must have ok.

:):):) How awesome is it to be with your best friends in the same place at the same time just having the best times of your life?

Anyway, it's back to school tomorrow and it sucks to not be returning to these faces - but I'll still be able to see people I've missed! Sem2 has got to be fantastic and not blah anymore. And most hopefully, I will be able to save more $$!

Have a good term, folks!

Almost
Saturday, October 17, 2009 @ 3:12 AM

Back to school. Well, almost. I'm not counting down to it, I can practically die just thinking about it.

Anyway, today was awesome. I've never visited Wild Wild Wet before but oh well there's a first for everything. Friggin weird to see Kah Bin popping up everywhere though - and as a lifeguard too no less.

Managed to meet up with the usuals as well. These are the people I am gonna love for the rest of my life, I swear. Everytime I feel a little disconnected from them something will remind me of how much they mean to me. I love you guys!

Having a bit of a stomach upset now. :( I shouldn't have inhaled dinner without so much of chewing.

And btw, I copied down my new timetable and I just pray I'll make every Monday's lecture and not decide that it's a waste of time.

Goodnight all!

Indulge
Friday, October 16, 2009 @ 2:26 AM

Letting the last few burgers in Cafe World finish cooking before I hit the hay for the day. Haha I know it's retarded but I told Kt this morning, "It's not fun la, the game. But you just don't want to waste the food you've spent hours cooking!! (Food gets spoilt if after cooking it does not get served almost immediately. And most food takes damn long to cook! Long as in real hours long.)"

Then he just gave me this horrendously disgusted look but after I got home today he called and informed me that he had cooked about 100 burgers and took my second chicken off the grill!

When I was outside he called and said he took the 1st one off when it cooked and it didn't get burnt! Super funny! These are the times I feel my greatest affection for him. HAHAH.

And while we're on the topic, I caught Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs today with Ter after lunch with Reb (Happy Graduation hon, love you so much!) and scouting for his stuff.

Photobucket

LOVED THE MOVIE! Loved the entire plot, the charaters, how it was really well scripted etc. I'm not usually a fan of cartoon movies now since I'm an old Disney fanatic but this was great. And I swear it was worth all the mayhem and drama before the movie begun. Please watch this and 500 Days.

*10 minutes before the show, we reached the GV counter after unsuccessful buying tickets at The Cathay*

Ter: "2 tickets for Meatballs."

Cashier: "Meatballs? Err the 7.20PM show? $14."

Ter: "Yea." *Hands NETS card over*

Cashier: "Err we don't accept NETS here. Only Visa and Mastercard blah blah."

Ter: "Huh why no NETS?" *Turns to me* "Do you have enough cash?"

Me: "Eh I have...12 dollars."

Ter: "I have...1 DOLLAR. HAHAHA. OMG WE'RE SHORT OF ONLY 1 DOLLAR!!!"

CAN YOU IMAGINE. We raced all the way downstairs to withdraw money then went up again. If we didn't get seats right, we were planning to slap a whole wad of cash in her face.

Anyhow, Happy Graduation to all juniors, hope you guys hold precious memories of your secondary school lives and remember to live up the remaining teenage years! Plus, this is so cliche but do well for O's alright.

I'm left with the weekend. :( Please let it be awesome. On a happier note, I got French as an elective and my timetable rocks. No free days but short ones. Haaaaaaaaappy!

G'night world.

P/S Amazingly proud of myself for getting up today at 9AM and buying McGriddles for Kt and myself and doing home delivery service to his place. The sad thing is that I ate enough today to last me 2.

500 Days of Summer music video

Adapted from the 'more info' part on Youtube:

Q: What do you get if you cross Bonnie and Clyde with Fred and Ginger?

A: Zooey and Joe.

"Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel, who star in the romantic comedy (500) Days of Summer, strut their stuff in this exclusive look at their bank heist/movie musical homage."

Music: Why Don't You Let Me Stay Here?
Performed by She & Him

I love how they are longtime friends, not lovers, yet have the greatest chemistry of all time.

Anyway, crazy craving for Macs breakfast now even though I'm full from eating coco pops for supper. Came with this ultra cute Hello Kitty bowl hugger thing!

Tomorrow I shall surprise Kt with Macs breakfast if I am able to wake up on time. And maybe go shopping alone after he's gone to school. Some good retail alone therapy for the soul but not wallet?

H for Hwanhee
Tuesday, October 13, 2009 @ 11:32 AM

Photobucket

The above muscular, toned hot bod completed with G-Dragon coloured bleached hair cannot be Hwanhee!!!!!!

But it is.

HwanHee will have his solo comeback.

HwanHee, who has transformed from Fly To The Sky member to solo singer, will be releasing his first solo album ‘H Soul’ on 22nd October online.

A teaser poster to his solo minialbum was also revealed on 13th October, attracting the attention of many netizens. Netizens asked “Is this really HwanHee?” when they saw the poster.

Because this is the first time in the 10 years since HwanHee’s debut that he reveals his upper body naked. He also donned a new image in the poster.

It was known that HwanHee lost 5kg for his solo album release. He has been working on his solo album ever since Fly To The Sky’s last activities in March. He has also personally done the producing to the songs for his album.

HwanHee’s company revealed that HwanHee has put in much effort and hard work for this album. And the name of the album ‘H Soul’ like HwanHee’s soul, it reflects his anticipation for the album.

And I heard Brian Joo will have his in December. I miss the boys together though. Fly To The Sky is no more but that isn't stopping the both of them to become hothothotter.

Anyway, gonna go to my mum's place now. Beats staying at home today. Was rudely interrupted from my sleep from the stupid drilling outside.

500 Days of Summer Fashion
@ 12:04 AM

Watched this with Kt today after we were bored out of our minds outside and much as I liked the movie for being whimsical and cute (The scene where the male lead Tom was dancing on the streets really reminded me of Amy Adams in Enchanted!), what really drew me to it was the fashion.

Lots of smart shirts, skinny ties, suits, woolly vests, cardigans, headphones for the dude and lots of cute dresses, high waisted skirts and pants, stockings, ribbons and headbands for the girl. The prep look that never gets old.

Now, if I ever see a couple on the street in that kinda gear I'll fall head over heels in love with the both of them. 500 Days put me in a good mood this evening. Now if only I had the wardrobe to match.

Go catch the movie, aite!
