2010 in a Nutshell

2010 has been a relatively quiet year for me, but if I were to state the top few highlights of my year, they would definitely be...
Something I completely didn't expect - it was awesome. Thank you my amazing friend Jeanette for coordinating everything and getting the place, the people and all the food and mayhem in one place. Still vividly remember every single detail. It's honestly one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done for me and I must have done something right in my life to have deserved people like you guys. <3
Got closer to several good friends and made new ones
These are the people who made TP life so much more endearing. The long lectures, lazy afternoons sitting in the middle of BizPark doing absolutely nothing at all - these will be the things I remember and miss most after I leave TP. Considering next year is my last year, I have little time to cherish everything so I ought to while I still can.
Also, definitely not forgetting the other important people in my life. Marie, Jac, Sam, Cher, Chong Aik, Lai Han, Taufiq, Reb and more :)
Took up TNS as a module
Attended Kpop Night & other small scale Kpop events
Before this year, it seemed virtually impossible that the K-wave would hit Singapore so hard and I guess in most ways, it has made me a very happy fangirl. I've seen SNSD, SHINee, Big Bang, FT Island, JYJ, 4Minute, Beast, ZE:A, and sooooo many other acts this year that it's just completely mindblowing. Add meeting Seulong up close to the list and him saying hi to me and I'm completely dead.
Took part in Celine Jessandra School of The Performing Arts 3rd Anniversary concert
Honestly, I took up dancing to prove a point - but it is something I no longer have to do, because I discovered that it was something I want to continue to grow with for a long time to come. Have met so many new and amazing friends from dance and it's an absolute joy to continue dancing with Liz.
Celebrated almost every single festivity this year
With the most recent being our Christmas/New Year party, which we spent a bomb on. The suite alone set us back a cool SGD$570. But it was crazily fun and worthwhile. Let's have one every year minus the puking, guyssss.
So, the above items are what made my 2010 an amazing year. What made yours? In 2011, I hope that everyone around me will stay safe, happy and have good fortune upon them. I hope that I will be able to get past 2.2 successfully, get where I want to for internship and meet even more people and gain more knowledge. I hope that my parents will not over work themselves that my siblings will continue to grow in wisdom and maturity.
And of course, to stop eating like a whale and maintain the healthiest lifestyle possible.

So it's officially the end of Christmas till next year, and although this year's celebrations did not include a loud, noisy party with a ton of people and all - it was still pretty heartwarming. Went over to Ben's like I do every year in the morning before heading to Keith's with Jules.
His house was soooo beautifully decorated! Haven't had a tree in my house since Lord knows when and it felt really good to see the twinkling lights on a frosty tree with presents under it.
And presents!! Gosh presents. Thanks guys for everything. <3
Took the lousy camera out for a spin but pictures didn't turn out too bad with the magic function. Or maybe everything's prettier on Chirstmas.

So now everyone is gonna anticipate the new year! Totally can't wait for the belated Christmas party/new year's party on the 30th with the CMM kids. Good to see everyone in one place again.
And to prep everyone for the new year, Stef showed me DJ Masa's 2010 Kpop Mashup Pt 2. THIS MAN IS A GENIUS.

I just had a simple dinner with my family - really late into the night but oh well, I've never felt happier stuffing fried chicken (In honour of Onew) in my face and getting fat for a good cause.

Pretty excited for tomorrow. Christmas at my cousin's as usual and then to Keith's. The first time I'm spending Christmas at a friend's place. It's the first Christmas I've felt so much love in years and I am thankful for all of it. This year has been a tough one but definitely one of my most enriching so far.

The past week has been crazy so far - been quite some time since I don't have any real time for myself. Everyday it's wake up at 7-8ish, rush down to school and stare at the computer screen till 5.30PM. Then it's some mad rush to town to look for Christmas gifts/meet friends.
So after about four not-so-blissful days in the Mac lab, I have officially finished about half of my animation! It looks horrendously like crap though but I honestly can't be arsed anymore because I really want to enjoy my holidays. :( I guess I will be contented with a C. If I even get a C, that is.
It's gonna be Christmas eve in less than two hours, and well...this time last year, I was a total mess. But I'm really glad that I've wisened up, left the past behind me and am now busying myself with things and people who actually matter. The most important people to me this Christmas are definitely my friends and family, who can ever compare?
Listening to Snow Dream right now. Too many memories of Christmases. May this year be an amazing one. ;)
This was the first Kpop Christmas song I ever heard, with two of the best boybands ever. Remember recording this with Naddy, Marie, Lai Han and Chong Aik back then.

It's technically mid sem week right now but because we only had one paper (One measly paper that I don't think I am gonna do well for...), I consider it our holidaysssss! Yet, I see poor CMMers going back to the freezing maclab to do MEP and it's sooo...heartbreaking.
Been busying myself with the usual - fleamarkets & bazaars with my mum. She's been bugging me to join her and I can't say no since it's Productive + money inducing. And most of my friend are busy/overseas. Plus I really need to start being a better daughter.
Completely running out of things to blog - but wish me luck for holiday assignments! Hehe.
And may every day be a day I learn something new and meaningful.

Messy thoughts in my head

I was lying on my bed last night and something struck me out of a sudden, for no particular reason at all.
I realise that much as I love all my friends the same way, I can never talk to all of them fully on a certain matter because they either would not relate, would not understand or would judge me. And yes they would because some of the things I do/did are damn strange/unbelievable. Random musings.
Anyway, managed to kick start off my week pretty well with skills test for Multicam over and done with. Also met Cher after MUCH difficulty in the afternoon in school. The girl's so fickle minded but I still love her hehe.
We went to Bistro to get fat after lunch at BizPark. Hahahahaa. And we were wearing the same ridiculous looking checkered outfits.
Skills test was moderately interesting. Now I just have to pray I get at least a B. The need to pull up my grades this semester is nagging at me like crazy at the back of my mind everyday. I've got to start thinking about my future and not just what I want for lunch everyday.
Speaking of which, I have really gained about 2000 kg in the past two weeks. How am I supposed to lose it with Christmas coming up I wonder? I swear my tummy is really depressing. :(
For happy news, I managed to get much coveted tickets to Super Junior 3's concert in January after all - thanks to my friends. But I am officially broke by $200 now but I will NOT regret it because I know more Suju songs than SHINee ones!!! Hahahah which proves something. Being a Kpop fan def makes your wallet scarce though.
In case anyone has forgotten, this is the last week of school for ussssss and then it's midsem week (1 friggin paper!!) and holidays foreverrrrrrrrr!!
Can't wait can't wait Cher hope we are spending New Year's eve together! Ask Ter and Jmo!
